Here are some links that I have visited and found useful:

Teachers are now being asked to incorporate computers into all aspects of a child’s education. One use of this modern technology is to use the World Wide Web as a reference facility. However, the hardest part of finding the information you require is that you waste precious time endlessly using search engines. Listed below are a few addresses for useful sites connected with William Shakespeare and Stratford upon Avon.

http://www.royal-shakespeare.co.uk The official RSC site. Last year I was very disappointed by this site, however they have revamped it and it now offers a great deal of information about their season and the Theatre.

http://www.shakespeare.org.uk The Shakespearean Birthplace Trust site. Again this site has improved a great deal in recent months. A good site for children wishing to explore Shakespeare’s life and his historical period.

http://www.shakespeare-country.co.uk The official Warwickshire Tourist Information Centre’s site about Stratford and Warwick. A great deal of practical information about the two towns.

http://daphne.palomar.edu/shakespeare I like this site, it has a lot of information about Shakespeare and it is also a good place to look for more sites.

http://www.jetlink.net/~massij/shakes/ The Shakespeare Classroom: another well designed site, this site has lots of useful tips for both teachers and students.

http://orathost.cfa.ilstu.edu/shakespeare/ISFfont.html Download this font to make your work sheets look Shakespearean!

http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/barney-croft My site, information about The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Croft Study Centre and Stratford upon Avon.

http://shakespearemag.com/ An excellent teaching resource. They also publish a magazine.

http://history.hanover.edu/early/shakespe.htm this site contains editions of some of Shakespeare's plays: Antony and Cleopatra (UMN) King Lear (UMN) Macbeth (UMN) A Midsummer Night's Dream (With Extensive References) Romeo and Juliet (UMN). And a Complete Works database.

http://www.folger.edu/academic/sq/menu.htm The famous Folger Library web site, a mime of information. This link will take you to the Shakespeare Quarterly site.

http://www.stratford-upon-avon.co.uk/index.htm A look at the Bard's home town.

http://www.marketingnet.com/stratford/ More about Stratford and William Shakespeare.
